New Iseki On The Paddock At AFL Queensland

A brand new Iseki TG6370 compact tractor and Trimax Striker 190 rotary mower have been delivered to the AFL Queensland Administration and Training Centre.

The Centre, which is located on Brisbane’s southside, features two ovals that see regular action in the AFL’s second-tier NEAFL competition, and also host a wide range of community football and junior development programs.

Chris Dalton, AFL Queensland’s Sports Turf Services Manager, was responsible for taking delivery of the units. His team, including operator Paul Munro, handle the upkeep of AFL Queensland’s grounds around south-east Queensland, including NEAFL ovals at Aspley and Southport, and half-a-dozen community football fields around Brisbane.

The Iseki/Trimax package will be put to work across most of these grounds. As the quality of playing surface varies amongst locations, a cylinder mower isn’t always appropriate – hence the requirement for the uniquely designed Trimax to give the cut quality they need.

“This combination will get a quality finish on the NEAFL ovals, while improving the quality of the turf on a range of our other grounds,” says Chris.

Chris and his team also provide support for clubs in South East Queensland that lack volunteers to adequately manage their turf programs, and provide high quality technical expertise to clubs seeking turf management education.

“The TG6370, with Turf tyres, is the perfect choice for AFL Queensland,” says Adrian Schilling, KC Equipment Representative. “The ease of operation, ground speed, and power delivery are a great match for the demands of an AFL oval, which often requires mowing several times a week.

“Coupled with the Trimax Striker 190, with its even grass distribution, easy maintenance and sealed spindles, you have a combination that will serve AFL Queensland perfectly for years to come.”
